Henrik Nieminen

CEO, Tornator Oyj

Mr. Henrik Nieminen (M.Sc. Econ., eMBA) has been the CEO of Tornator as of 17 June 2019. Tornator is the leading forestry company in Europe with the balance sheet of €1,6 billion and sales of €113 million. Prior to the CEO role Nieminen has worked in the company as CFO and deputy CEO for almost 17 years. He was one of the “founding fathers” of Tornator, a unique transaction where first time in Europe forest assets were securitized. Nieminen has headed the company’s internationalization and creation of subsidiaries in Estonia and Romania. Today Tornator is the largest private forest owner both in Finland and in Estonia. Nieminen has a broad experience in planning and executing large financial transactions, acquisitions and forest valuations. He has studied and worked several years abroad (US, France, Belgium, Sweden). Prior to Tornator Nieminen worked six years in various financial management positions in Stora Enso, a global biomaterials company. He holds a Masters’ Degree in Economics and an Executive MBA, both at Aalto University in Helsinki (former Helsinki School of Economics). Currently (2019) Nieminen participates a management program “Graduate Diploma in Technology” at Aalto University Executive Education.
