Harri Palviainen is an experienced transformation leader and passionate to make a positive effect to the future of people, companies and society. He has worked as executive in versatile organisations in international business and public sector. Currently he works as Chief City Development Officer of Järvenpää being one of the fastest growing cities in Finland. The development of the northern centre of the metropolitan area is about balancing controllable growth of the city with financial and long-term sustainability aspects, in the versatile networks of the region. Earlier he worked as CEO of Business Joensuu Oy being in charge of regional business development of seven municipalities.
Mr. Palviainen has worked as CEO and management team member of listed companies, SMEs and startups. 2001-2010 as Executive Vice President and Deputy CEO of Comptel Oyj which became global market leader operating in 80 countries worldwide. Other roles have been e.g. CEO of AAC Global of Sanoma Group, Vice President of Produal Oy, and he led education and research unit in Haaga-Helia university of applied sciences 2011-2015.
