Anna Hakulinen works as a Sustainability Coordinator at Valio, which is Finland’s largest food company and food exporter. Her main responsibilities include improving Valio’s biodiversity initiatives.
In the spring of 2023, Anna graduated with a master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku, where she majored in Management and Organization and pursued an extended minor in Environmental Sciences. During her final year of studies, she worked as a research assistant in the Biodiversity Respectful Leadership research project called BIODIFUL. She wrote her master’s thesis, “Promoting Biodiversity through Leadership,” as a part of the research project. For her thesis, she interviewed small Finnish agricultural enterprises and gained insight into how agriculture affects biodiversity. This passion for preserving biodiversity continues to thrive in her current role at Valio.
