Meet Diana Tuomasjukka, our new Secretary General

European Forest Institute (EFI) continues as the Secretariat of the Koli Forum Association for the period of 2022-2023. Dr. Diana Tuomasjukka is our new Secretary General.

The collaboration with EFI has been excellent and we look forward to planning future activities with Dr. Tuomasjukka”, says Sixten Sunabacka, chair of the board. Koli Forum will continue to seek collaboration possibilities especially with other Nordic and European countries and actors from the various bioeconomy sectors, in which EFI is able to utilize its wide networks.

Diana Tuomasjukka was recently appointed as Head of the Bioeconomy Programme at EFI. She has a PhD in Sustainability Impact Assessment from the University of Freiburg, and an MSc in Forestry and Wood Industry from the Technical University of Munich. She was previously Principal Scientist and Team Leader for the “Sustainable Bioeconomy” team at EFI. Diana’s research interests include topics related to systemic, holistic and cross-sectoral approaches to sustainability, circular bioeconomy and innovation.
