KOLI THESES POINT THE WAY FOR EUROPEAN DECISION-MAKERS

The Koli Forum aims to be instrumental in the shaping of future discussions on natural resources, generating new ideas and concepts to support European decision-making. The event’s key messages will be formulated in the so-called ‘Theses of Koli’, aiming to provide new knowledge and perspectives to support European decision-making at other forums, such as the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference in December.

Formulation of sustainable theses with a real, tangible message is a challenging task if done only during the seminars. Therefore, the background work for the theses has already been started by the Koli Forum organisation. The theses will be based on factual data, speaker presentations and panel discussion, as well as audience responses in oral form and through an electronic audience response system. Final formulation of the Koli Theses will be done in the plenary session on 24 October.

The Theses will be published in a press conference after the Forum on 24 October. Afterwards they will be included in a seminar publication about the results of the event and disseminated widely.

Our aim is to look far into the future, beyond the current economic downturn. With the Theses, the Koli Forum aims to address the European decision-makers who shape our common future.
