Theme II Top Priorities in Policy Making

In the second themed session, a policy-oriented panel composed of representatives of leading global and pan-European processes and institutions will discuss solutions and approaches to the most pressing policy issues related to natural resources. Are the current mechanisms and actions taken relevant and effective in addressing societal demands? Should we seek entirely new modes of cooperation and more coherent policies? How can we improve the interaction between the scientific community and policy-making in order to find more effective tools and mechanisms?

The audience will be invited to become involved in the discussion via electronic audience-response technology.
